AFO Directory Preamble Qualifier Statement

While our freelance/independent crew base of artisans may seem comparatively small, it is one of multidimensional expertise. Given that our state is an 'open-shop' or "Right-To-Work" state, Alabama's skilled and creative technicians and craft people represent the total spectrum of departmental classifications in the motion picture industry.

 Many of our resident crew/staff personnel began their careers in either the local commercial or cable television stations or within the edit suites and production studios of our indigenous independent visual arts production facilities or advertising and public relations firms. Therefore, of necessity, predominantly all of Alabama's film professionals have had broad-based, cross-disciplined experiences that enhance their backgrounds, and those experiences traverse the gamut of practically every production department. This fact makes our professionals most valuable to producers who seek seasoned crewmembers who are multi-talented in the varied disciplines of first class production projects.
