Reach out to the Alabama Entertainment Office.
② Register
Submit your project registration form.
③ Apply
Complete and send in your incentive application with required materials.
④ Create
Once approved, start your production in Alabama!
Application Requirements
To be considered for Alabama’s entertainment incentives, applicants must meet the applicable spend threshold, submit a complete application, and receive approval before beginning qualifying activities in Alabama.
Project Thresholds
Film & TV Productions
- Tier 1: $500,000 – $20,000,000 in qualified in-state expenditures.
- Tier 2: $100,000 – $499,999 in qualified in-state expenditures. Applications are now accepted, with approvals beginning on or after October 1, 2026.
Music Album Productions
- $30,000 – $200,000 in qualified in-state expenditures.
Timing Requirements
Productions should apply at least 30 days before beginning qualifying activities in Alabama.
Principal photography or recording should begin within 90 days of application approval.
Funding Requirements
Projects must be 100% fully financed at the time of application, with third-party verification of secured funding.
